Why satin beats cotton at night

Cotton pillowcases pull moisture straight out of the hair shaft and create friction that turns into frizz and breakage. Satin has a smooth, low-friction surface that lets hair slide, so curls keep their shape and your leave-in stays in your hair instead of your pillow.

Getting the fit right

Sit the band just above the hairline and tuck the ends of your hair inside before pulling the bonnet fully back. A wide band spreads tension so you don't wake up with a line across your forehead or thinning edges.

Questions

Good to know

Will it stay on all night?
The wide elastic band grips without digging in, so it stays put through side and back sleeping.
Is it big enough for braids or locs?
Yes — the crown is deep enough for long braids, twists and locs without flattening them.
How do I wash it?
Hand-wash cool, mild detergent, hang dry. Avoid heat so the satin keeps its glide.
Can men wear a bonnet?
Of course. Many wavers use a bonnet over a durag for extra overnight hold.
